Abuja: The Chief of Civil Military Affairs (Army), Maj.-Gen. Gold Chibuisi, has called for a stronger partnership between the media and the military to enlighten the public on the activities of the Nigerian Army. Chibuisi made the call at the Roundtable with members of the Defence Correspondents Association of Nigeria (DECAN), in Abuja. According to News Agency of Nigeria, Chibuisi highlighted the crucial role played by the media in covering army programs and the importance of understanding military operations to accurately reflect their activities. He referred to the relationship as symbiotic and expressed gratitude for the media’s support, looking forward to more meaningful engagements and stronger relationships in the future.
Chibuisi stressed that fostering a harmonious relationship between the military and the civilian population is a continuous effort. He reminded everyone that military personnel are part of families and communities in the country.
