Child Support: SOCSEE Pledges commitment to improve Services to vulnerable


Determined to improve the living conditions of under-privileged members of the society through access to quality health, education, and empowerment, a civil society organization known as Society for Child Support and Economic Empowerment (SOCSEE) has pledged to improve services to people through innovation.

Executive Director Society for Child Support SOCSEE Sanusi Hashim made the commitment in Kano state North West Nigeria during a 9th year anniversary of the Organization.

He said SOCSEE has expanded in it’s services in other areas of health needs such as Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 among others.

Hashim explained that, SOCSEE is also offering humanitarian services as well as sponsoring Education of orphan children. He noted that, the CSO is implementing an open and transparent budget as well projects with clear objectives for the benefits of the society.

‘We achieve a lot in this 9 years in terms of enrollment of vulnerable childre
n in community interventions. We enrolled up to 5000 into our programs as HIV, in our Tuberculosis program we are least CBO coordinating at least 30 LGA’s on Tuberculosis. We engaged 30 CBO’s working together in Kano state to eradicate tuberculosis. We are also part of the malaria programmes. We achieved a lot because we are empowering the youth and women in the society. Because we have more than 2000 volunteers working with us.’

The Chairman Board of the trustees SOCSEE Musa Abdullahi Sufi called on staff to prepare for more challenges ahead in order to records better success in the fight against Malaria, tuberculosis and other projects of the organization.

He challenged them to come up with Come with fresh ideas and innovations to upscale their outreach and interventions.

On of the partners from Civil Society Malaria Control Malam Shehu Abubakar expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded by SOCSEE within the last 9 years with the hope for a better future.
