Enugu: Sen. Okey Ezea, representing Enugu North Senatorial Zone in Enugu State, has passed away.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the senator’s son, Jideofor, announced the death in a statement titled ‘Notification of death of Sen. Okey Ezea’, issued on Wednesday. The statement detailed that the senator died on Tuesday, Nov. 18 at around 11.07 pm in a private hospital in Lagos.
The announcement from Jideofor conveyed the family’s profound grief and highlighted Ezea’s role as a representative of Enugu North Senatorial District in the 10th Senate, having been elected under the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections. The statement confirmed that Ezea, aged 62, succumbed to a brief illness.
Ezea is survived by his wife, Chioma, and their four children. The family has requested prayers during this challenging time as they mourn his passing.
