Post: FAAC Distributes N2.094 Trillion Revenue Among FG, States, and LGCs for October


Abuja: The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has distributed a total of N2.094 trillion for the month of October among the Federal Government, state governments, and Local Government Councils (LGCs).



According to News Agency of Nigeria, this allocation was determined at the November FAAC meeting held in Abuja, as detailed in a communiqu© released by Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. The communiqu© outlined that the total distributable revenue consisted of N1.376 trillion in statutory revenue, N670.303 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT), and N47.870 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).



The document further stated that the total gross revenue available in October amounted to N2.934 trillion. It noted that N115.278 billion was deducted for the cost of collection, while N724.603 billion was allocated for transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings. The gross statutory revenue for October was reported as N2.164 trillion, marking an increase of N36.832 billion from the N2.128 trillion received in September 2025. Conversely, VAT revenue decreased by N152.803 billion from September’s N872.630 billion to N719.827 billion in October.



From the N2.094 trillion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received N758.405 billion, state governments were allocated N689.120 billion, and LGCs received N505.803 billion. Additionally, N141.359 billion, representing 13% of mineral revenue, was distributed to states benefiting from derivation revenue. Specifically, of the N1.376 trillion statutory revenue, the Federal Government received N650.680 billion, state governments received N330.033 billion, and LGCs were allocated N254.442 billion, along with the derivation revenue.



In terms of VAT revenue distribution, the Federal Government received N100.545 billion, state governments were allocated N335.152 billion, and LGCs received N234.606 billion. From the N47.870 billion EMTL, the Federal Government received N7.180 billion, state governments received N23.935 billion, and LGCs were allocated N16.755 billion.
