London: A UK-registered Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), IA-Foundation, will hold a charity fundraising gala in London on Saturday. This event aims to address the growing crisis of out-of-school children in Africa.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the leadership of the organisation issued a statement announcing that the 2025 Charity Gala will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton, London Docklands Riverside. The foundation aims to build on the success of its March 2023 fundraising event in London, where it raised 24,000 pounds, and intends to further its mission of driving change through education for underprivileged children across Africa.
The foundation’s leadership emphasized the importance of the event by stating, “This isn’t just a night out; it’s a movement. Every ticket bought is an investment in a child’s future, a step toward a better Africa.” The event is expected to attract dignitaries, including Nigeria’s Acting High Commissioner to the UK and the Chairperson of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa. The Foundation’s patron, Chief Femi Falana, along with high-profile UK diaspora individuals such as mayors and councillors from several London boroughs, are also anticipated to attend.
The gala promises several highlights, including an American auction, raffle draws with prizes, live entertainment, fine dining, and storytelling. This event is one of the foundation’s major initiatives to expand its impact, having already distributed more than 5,000 educational materials to students in slums and underserved communities.
With tickets in high demand, the leadership encourages attendees to purchase tickets promptly. All proceeds from the event will go directly toward the foundation’s mission of reducing the number of out-of-school children in Africa. Founded in 2019, IA-Foundation has supported over 100 children in returning to classrooms.
