Lagos: The 13th GMYT African Humanitarian Award (GAH) Award and Business Summit is set to convene over 1,000 leaders, innovators, investors, and policymakers from Africa and the global diaspora. The announcement was made by the Convener and Executive Chair, Dr. Princess Kelechi Oghene, during a press conference in Lagos.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the summit aims to unite individuals whose work significantly impacts governance, business, advocacy, and social progress across the continent. Scheduled for December 12 at Eko Hotels and Suites, the event will be themed “Africa Reimagined: Innovation, Inclusion and Sustainable Growth,” highlighting scalable African solutions across various sectors including business, technology, governance, creative industries, and social impact.
Oghene emphasized the summit’s platform as a host for influential voices from sectors such as public service, aviation, human rights, development, law, finance, entrepreneurship, and the creative industries. She underscored the economic, social, and policy relevance of the summit, offering opportunities for partners, institutions, and brands to align with long-term development goals.
She also noted that the GAH platform has evolved into a significant ecosystem, connecting leaders from governance, media, fashion, sports, real estate, and creative industries. The event aligns with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), African Union Agenda 2063, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals 8, 9, and 17.
A notable feature of the conference was the unveiling of the GAH Elite Club Black Card, powered by Mastercard and Wema Bank. This card provides global financial and hospitality privileges, complimentary access to all GAH flagship events, and connections to CEOs, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and innovators, offering a gateway to influence and strategic opportunities.
