The Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Directors-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS).
He described them as great professionals and wished them successful tenures.
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye said the choice of seasoned diplomat Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, an indigene of Lafiagi, to lead the NIA opens another beautiful page in the history of the agency.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for the choice of the Kwara-born diplomat, who was until his appointment the head of the Nigerian mission to Sudan.
Governor Abdulrazaq also applauded the choice of Mr. Adeola Ajayi, a crack senior operative who has pulled through many sensitive operations, to head the DSS at this time.
Urging support from all stakeholders for the new appointees, the governor prayed the Almighty God to grant the new Directors-General the wis
dom to achieve greater feats and improved national security.
In a related message, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, congratulated Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed and Mr. Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi on their appointments as the new Directors-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and the Department of State Services (DSS) respectively.
In a statement issued by his spokesman, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari expressed confidence in the ability of the appointees to deliver on their mandates of ensuring efficient intelligence gathering and fostering peace and security of the country.

He added that with his outstanding performances in the Diplomatic Service, the new Director-General of NIA, Amb. Mohammed will perform excellently well, stressing that Mr. Ajayi will also ensure adequate security that will keep the nation united.

se in them, Alhaji Sulu-Gambari thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding them worthy of the appointments.
He therefore appealed to relevant security, governmental and non-governmental agencies to support them in the actualization of the tasks ahead of them even as he prayed Almighty Allah to guide them in the discharge of their duties.
