Leave of Absence: President Tinubu acknowledges Spokesperson’s request

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially acknowledged receiving a memo from his official Spokesperson and Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, requesting to step down from all official responsibilities due to the need to deal with medical matters affecting his immediate nuclear family.

A statement from the Presidency made available to State House Correspondents on Saturday confirmed personal and health reasons for Ngelale’s request.

Following the review of the Presidential aide’s leave of absence request, he expressed full understanding and sympathy over the circumstances that warranted the decision.

The President noted Ngelale’s tireless efforts and dedication in serving the nation. He appreciated his remarkable contributions in his various capacities, especially in advancing national discourse and leading efforts on climate action and other key initiatives.
