Kathmandu: Gagan Kumar Thapa, the General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, has asserted that the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election on Falgun 21 (March 5) will steer the constitution in the right direction. He expressed these views today through social media, underscoring the significance of the election in establishing a new parliament that will properly guide the constitution. Thapa stated, “The election set for March 5 is the sole avenue to align the constitution correctly; there is no doubt about this.”
According to National News Agency Nepal, Thapa also mentioned that the party has already articulated its stance during the all-party meeting led by the Prime Minister. He emphasized the importance of convening a party general convention before the election, noting that the policies and leadership emerging from this convention will empower the Nepali Congress to effectively compete in the election.
