ACCRA — The Ghana Police Service has announced comprehensive security measures for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Presidential Primaries scheduled for Saturday, November 4, 2023.
According to Ghana News Agency, the Police Service’s Public Affairs Director, and shared with the Ghana News Agency, law enforcement has implemented strategies to uphold law and order during the political event. The deployment of body-worn cameras at voting centers is part of the initiatives to bolster security and transparency. The Police’s announcement follows consultations with the NPP Election Committee, Electoral Commission, representatives of flagbearer hopefuls, and other stakeholders focused on ensuring a peaceful electoral process.
