Post: Senate Confirms Members of Nigerian Communications Commission’s Board


Abuja: The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has confirmed its board members following a successful screening exercise at the National Assembly.



According to News Agency of Nigeria, the NCC Head of Public Affairs, Mrs. Nnenna Ukoha, announced that the Senate Committee on Communications confirmed Idris Olorunnimbe, representing the South-West, as the Chairman of the board.



Maryam Bayi, representing the North-East, Sen. Ramoni Mustafa for the South-West, and Ikechukwu Ugwuegede for the South-East were confirmed as commissioners of the NCC board. Other members of the board confirmed by the Senate include Princess Emiko, representing the South-South, and Christopher Okorie also for the South-South.



Mrs. Ukoha noted that the board chairman and commissioners joined the Executive Vice-Chairman, Dr. Aminu Maida from the North-West, and Abraham Oshadami, the Executive Commissioner for Technical Services from the North-Central. They also join the Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, Rimini Makama from the North-Central, who had been previously confirmed, on the board.
