Tinubu’s Economic Reforms Making Positive Impacts, Says Ganduje

Kano: The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, has praised the ongoing economic reforms implemented by President Bola Tinubu, noting that they are already producing positive outcomes. Ganduje made these remarks at an empowerment programme organized by Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, during which 1,200 vehicles and motorcycles were distributed to party leaders in Kano.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ganduje highlighted the administration’s commitment to restructuring Nigeria’s economy, emphasizing that the reforms have led to greater stability. “Under President Tinubu’s leadership, we have witnessed substantial progress in revitalizing the economy,” he stated. “These efforts are already yielding results, including improved infrastructure, job creation, and growth across various sectors. The recent reduction in food prices, the drop in petrol costs, and the appreciation of the naira are all direct outcomes of these reforms.”

Ganduje further mentioned that the president holds Kano in high regard, which is reflected in the appointment of key positions to individuals from the state. These positions include the National Chairman of the ruling party, Deputy Senate President, two Ministers, Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, and the Chairman of the Federal Mortgage Bank, among others.

He also commended Barau Jibrin for his efforts in establishing the North-West Development Commission and expressed gratitude to the president. Ganduje called on the people of the state to support Tinubu’s administration. He noted that the distribution of vehicles and motorcycles aims to enhance the socioeconomic well-being of the people, particularly party members, and promote the party’s ideals.

Earlier, Barau Jibrin explained that the initiative was designed to empower APC members to achieve the party’s objectives. He mentioned that motorcycles would be distributed to all APC ward and local government chairmen across the state’s 44 local government areas. Jibrin also announced a forthcoming special package targeting youths, women, teachers, students, and other stakeholders to ensure public benefits from the dividends of democracy.

He revealed plans to empower university graduates who have not secured white-collar jobs, stating that three graduates from each local government would receive a loan of five million Naira to start small businesses. Jibrin praised Ganduje’s leadership for significantly strengthening the party and acknowledged the president’s reforms aimed at advancing the country. He urged party members to unite in support of the president’s efforts to move the nation forward.
