2019 Elections: Katsina Governor assures President Buhari of 80% votes

As Nigeria prepares for the Presidential and National Assembly elections on Saturday, the Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Masari has assured President Muhammadu Buhari of 80% of the votes during the elections.

Governor Masari said in Katsina while speaking to Voice of Nigeria that of the over 3.4 million voters expected to participate during the elections 2.5 million votes will go to president Buhari.

Alhaji Masari said if we can bring out 80% of the voters and 90% votes go to President Buhari that is about 2.5 million votes

He said they had a target and they are working in the ruling APC to achieve that set target of making President Buahri the president for the next four years so that no leader will take Nigerians to where they were before 2015.

The Katsina State Governor said they want President Buhari to lay a solid foundation in institutions and infrastructure and if he succeeded Nigeria will achieve progress that cannot be reversed after 8 years.

Look at what he has been able to achieve with little resources in the areas of roads, power, transportation, education. There is no state now in Nigeria where Federal government is not executing one project or the other he said.

Electoral Process

Gov. Masari urged voters to vote wisely and be patient with the process as spelt out by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC to enable them vote for their choice on an election day.

Vote wisely and be patient on the queue, it is better to wait for 24 hours than to wait for four years he emphasised.

The Katsina Governor also advised INEC, the electoral umpire to play by the rules and as politicians they will mobilise voters to elect the APC in all the elections in Katsina state and Nigeria.
