2019 Elections: NAC calls for replacement of Presidential candidate

With two weeks to the Presidential election, one of the political parties participating in the election, the National Action Council, NAC is calling for a replacement of its presidential candidate.

Speaking to Journalists in Abuja, a faction of the party led by Mr Yemi Ayanlade is insisting that the National Chairman of the party, Hajia Rabia Cengiz, who is also the Presidential candidate of the party be replaced by Rev Dr King Ezeuko Emeka.

According to Ayanlade, Hajiya Cengiz allegedly sold her ticket as Presidential candidate to Rev. Dr Emeka. Although Cengiz is the one recognised by INEC, but we the aggrieved members are insisting that Rev. Dr. King Emeka Ezeuko is our authentic Presidential candidate.

He said: This is indeed a trying time for our great party; where monetary quest has erased moral values and virtue. We have seen it and we disassociate ourselves from money for hand, back for ground.

This is a party that elected a Presidential candidate, however, the said candidate decided to sell the ticket to a third party for the sum of N5,000,000 this is contained Presidential candidate signed to relinquish her Presidential aspiration to Rev. Dr. King Ezeuko Emeka to be substituted as the candidate of our noble party.

We are a party of truth and we have strong foundation upon which we have built our party. When power is in the hands of the right people, justice is certain. But those who decide to sell their birthright for monetary gain must be denied that fate and they must not be supported.

To this end, we have resolved to clean our party and make it whole again by supporting the person to whom the party’s candidacy has been sold to and we have concluded to do what is right.
