Abuja: Igwe Samuel Asadu, the Chairman of the Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, has extended his felicitations to President Bola Tinubu, the Federal Government, and all Nigerians as the nation celebrates its 65th year of independence. Nigeria achieved independence on October 1, 1960.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the traditional ruler expressed his congratulations in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Abuja. Asadu, who also serves as the Traditional Ruler of Edem Ani Ogugwu Ancient Kingdom in the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, extended his congratulations to Governor Peter Mbah and the people of Enugu State.
Asadu praised the unwavering spirit of Nigerians, recognizing their sacrifices and dedication that continue to uphold the nation’s unity and progress. He lauded the courage of Nigeria’s founding fathers, celebrating the resilience and diversity that characterize the nation’s strength.
As the immediate past Chairman of the South East Traditional Rulers, Asadu acknowledged ongoing efforts to revitalize the economy, fortify democratic institutions, and foster national renewal. He encouraged Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to remain steadfast in their love for the country, united in purpose, and committed to the shared vision of a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.
