Abuja:Hon. Gloria Akobundu, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council’s Women Mobilisation Wing, has endorsed the call by First Lady Sen. Oluremi Tinubu for Nigerian women to rally behind President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign in 2027.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Akobundu expressed her support during the APC Women Stakeholders’ Mobilisation and Empowerment Pre-Inaugural Summit held in Abuja. The summit, convened by the First Lady, gathered APC women leaders and representatives from over 500 women support groups.
Akobundu, who also serves as Secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, highlighted that Nigeria is on a path of renewed greatness and emphasized the importance of continuity to complete the country’s transformation. She congratulated women who received empowerment items such as tricycles, sewing machines, refrigerators, and agricultural implements, describing them as tools for economic liberation.
She encouraged the beneficiaries to use these items effectively to enhance their livelihoods and contribute to their communities. Akobundu also urged women voters across all six geopolitical zones, particularly in the South-East, to support the APC and President Tinubu in the upcoming election.
The summit saw the participation of APC women leaders, First Ladies from APC-controlled states, state women leaders, faith-based mobilizers, and grassroots organizers.
