Lagos: ‘Alpha’ an action-adventure film, has topped Nigeria’s Netflix film chart this week. The film attracted strong viewership to secure the number one position on the chart.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, ‘Alpha’ managed to outpace other notable titles, including ‘The Whisper Man’, a mystery thriller centred on a troubled man confronting a sinister figure from his past, which ranked second. In third place is ‘The Secret Woman’, a drama exploring relationships, secrets, and personal struggles. Meanwhile, ‘Anacondas: Trail of Blood’, an action-horror film involving deadly snakes and a fight for survival, came in at fourth.
Occupying the fifth position is ‘Facing El Chapo’, a documentary exploring the dangerous world surrounding the notorious drug lord, whereas ‘Colours of Fire’, a drama delving into human relationships and resilience, appeared in sixth place. In seventh position is ‘Grand Theft Auto 5: Extended Look’, an extended look at the popular action-adventure video game, while ‘The Last House’, a thriller centred on danger and survival, ranked eighth.
The ninth position is held by ‘2012’, a disaster film depicting a global catastrophe and humanity’s struggle for survival. Rounding off the top 10 is ‘Abigail’, a horror thriller about a group of kidnappers who discover that their young captive is far more dangerous than they expected.
