Abuja: Gov. Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, former Senate President Sen. Anyim Pius Anyim, and Sen. Ibikunle Amosun have praised former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Boss Mustapha, for his contributions to nation-building as he reaches the age of 70.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mustapha, who turns 70 on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, has been recognized for his exceptional service and dedication to Nigeria.
In his congratulatory message, Gov. Abiodun expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and people of Ogun, acknowledging Mustapha’s distinguished record of service. He emphasized that reaching the age of 70 in good health and sound mind is a testament to God’s favor. Abiodun highlighted Mustapha’s career, marked by achievements, patriotism, and unwavering commitment to public service. He noted that Mustapha’s tenure as SGF was remarkable for his experience, wisdom, and statesmanship in coordinating government affairs.
Former Senate President Ayim Pius Anyim also lauded Mustapha’s years of service, particularly as SGF, which demonstrated his leadership capacity and understanding of governance complexities. Anyim praised Mustapha for his role in coordinating government activities and supporting the implementation of national policies. NAN reports that Mustapha’s 70th birthday celebration will include the inauguration of a library he donated to a university in Yola and a state banquet hosted by the Adamawa Government. Born in 1956 in Garaha, Adamawa, Mustapha’s educational journey took him from primary school in Hong to Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, where he earned a Bachelor of Law. His professional career includes serving on various company boards in diverse sectors.
