Awka- Caretaker Committee for Anambra State Football Association led by Emeka Okeke says it has concluded arrangements for the development of beach soccer in the state.
Briefing sportswriters at the Association’s secretariat, Awka, Okeke said it was part of his blueprint to reach out to stakeholders with a view to revolutionising football management in the state.
“We are determined to build economic activity around soccer in Anambra State. I want us to support our own brand, provide infrastructure and other support services to fully develop football in our state.
“To achieve this, we shall encourage stakeholders and football investors to partner with us,’’ he noted.
Coordinator, Anambra Beach Soccer Development Project, Dozie Okpalaugo said that they had designed a robust approach anchored on advocacy, location identification and consultations for implementation of the project.
While acknowledging low awareness of the concept in the state, he assured of the establishment of the needed platform for the project to thrive in the state.
Okpalaugo said that as soon as ban on physical contact games would be lifted in the country, they would unfold plans for commencement of the project.
