ANAMBRA: STATE GOVERNMENT TO COMMENCE SCREENING OF INTENDING PILGRIMS TO ISRAEL

By Michael Ezenwata : The State chairman of the Christians pilgrims’ welfare Board Professor Steve Ibenta says screening for intending pilgrims to Israel will take place on Thursday 6th and Friday 7thJuly, 2017 this week.

Professor Ibenta who gave the indication while briefing the press at the government house Awka on the activities of the board, advised all those who had purchased pilgrim forms to return theirs before the said dates and also, all intending pilgrims to pay for their forms in any commercial bank of their choice before approaching the board for the collection of their forms after which they will undergo the screening exercise ahead of their trip.

According to him, the pilgrimage to Israel will be actualized in good time to enable the pilgrims participate in the November 18th governorship election in the state.

The pilgrimage will be an occasion to pray for the Governor and the state for a successful election.

The Chairman stressed that the pilgrims will be given real value for their money, and is expected on return, to utilize their expenses as a tool for economic empowerment and the development of the state.

Professor Ibenta commended Governor Willie Obiano for subsidizing the trip for every intending pilgrim by about thirty percent and further applauded his distinguished position in governance among the committee of states in the federation, and also for his recent commendation by the Central Bank of Nigeria for good governance.
