Abuja:Mr. Felix Hyat, the Director-General of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) National Campaign Council, has called on party stakeholders to enhance grassroots mobilization to secure Mr. Seyi Makinde’s victory in the upcoming 2027 presidential elections. Hyat made this appeal during a meeting with APM leaders and stakeholders from his Kaduna South Senatorial District.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Hyat emphasized the need for Nigerians to support the party’s presidential candidate, Seyi Makinde, as he could help Nigeria overcome its current challenges. He noted that many Nigerians are facing difficult times, and Makinde’s leadership could provide the necessary rescue.
Hyat praised Makinde as a “silent performer,” whose notable achievements are well-documented. He expressed confidence that Makinde, alongside his vice-presidential candidate Lawan Daura, a security expert, could address Nigeria’s security issues. Hyat urged stakeholders to vigorously campaign to ensure a strong voter turnout for Makinde.
He likened Makinde’s qualities to those of the late President Umaru Yar’Adua, highlighting the importance of respecting the power rotation agreement by voting for Makinde to complete the South’s eight-year term.
Earlier, Mr. Ayuba Bako, leader of the delegation and former NUPENG Vice Chairman, expressed the group’s support for Hyat’s new appointment. Bako assured that upon returning home, the group would amplify their grassroots mobilization efforts to ensure widespread support and voter turnout for Makinde in the 2027 elections.
