“Zone-13 is new and aside from intelligence reports, we need all the financial and moral support to secure the life and property of residents.

“The job of security is everybody’s business and the legislators are the representatives of the people; therefore, they have a role to play via effective lawmaking to help us to improve and sustain the security of the state.

“Under my watch, we say no to illegal arrests and detention, torture, extra judicial killings and criminal extortion of the public. We believe in constitutionalism, due process, justice and fair play.

“We solicit the support of the Assembly to ensure that Anambra continues to be safe for all,” AIG Mohammed said.

He urged members of the public to support the police by providing useful information about any suspicious movements of persons or objects or any matter connected to crime within their environment.

The Speaker of the House, Mr Uche Okafor commended the Police and other security agencies for their efforts at making the state safe for residents.

Okafor promised that the Assembly would give the Zone all the necessary legislative support to improve on security in the state.

Mr Oguejiofor, a Promoter of Anambra State’s Luxury Place Estate, at Nkwelle Ezunaka, Oyi LGA, who accompanied the AIG, commended the lawmakers for ensuring good governance in the state through effective legislation.

He announced plans for the planned 500-Units Housing Estate at Nkwelle, Oyi LGA.
