Bayelsa: The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa, Mr. Warman Ogoriba, has dismissed the relevance of the emerging ‘Rainbow Coalition’ in the state. Ogoriba, in a statement in Lagos, emphasized that the APC has the numbers, structure, organization, and grassroots support necessary to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and all officially nominated APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ogoriba affirmed that the party remains focused, united, and firmly rooted at the grassroots level across the state. He highlighted that the APC has established structures throughout the eight Local Government Areas (LGAs) and political wards of Bayelsa. Ogoriba insisted that the APC would not be distracted by political alliances outside its established structures and would continue to consolidate its membership base and strengthen internal unity.
He further stated that the party would intensify grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections. Ogoriba emphasized the importance of staying organized, disciplined, and committed to the collective objective of advancing the APC and supporting its candidates at all levels. He expressed confidence that the combination of the party’s existing structures, committed members, stakeholders, and grassroots networks would provide a solid foundation for a strong electoral campaign in 2027.
The chairman encouraged APC members and supporters across Bayelsa to remain united and focused as the party prepares for the elections. He assured members that the party leadership would continue to engage stakeholders and mobilize support across communities in the state. Ogoriba reiterated the Bayelsa APC leadership’s commitment to strengthening the party’s structures and working collectively towards the success of Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections. He affirmed that the party would remain concentrated on its organizational structures and grassroots engagement as preparations for the elections intensified.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Rainbow Coalition is a multi-party political arrangement created by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike to support President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
