Code of Conduct Tribunal adjourns CJN’s arraignment

The Code of Conduct Tribunal CCT in Abuja, Nigeria has adjourned the arraignment of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen on the alleged false and non-assets declaration to January 22, 2019.

The CCT will, on the same day hear a motion filed by the defence challenging the jurisdiction of the CCT to entertain the suit filed against the CJN.

It would be recalled that the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) had Scheduled Jan. 14 for the arraignment of Justice Walter Onnoghen, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), on allegations of false and non- assets declarations.

Mr Ibraheem Al-Hassan, the tribunal’s Head, Press and Public Relations, who disclosed this noted that the action was consequent upon an application filed by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) to the Chairman of the tribunal.
