The wife of the Nigerian President, Mrs Aisha Buhari says eradicating corruption should be the nation's number one priority because it has adverse effects on the society.
Mrs Buhari stated this at the 9th edition of the Annual Al- Habibiyyah Women's Forum held on Saturday at the National Mosque, Abuja.
She noted that corruption has crept into our lives and its endangering us and our nation
Mrs Buhari who was represented by Mrs Binta Muazu also noted that if a woman becomes corruption-free she can lead a completely corrupt-free family and society.
She noted that women are known to be watchful, sensitive and pay great attention to details which puts them in a better position to raise children the right way.
Women should put hands together to stop this virus called corruption, be it at home, in school, at work or business places she said.
She urged women to imbibe the culture of willingness and discipline in moulding children by teaching them right from wrong and scolding them if need be to ensure that our nation is corruption free.
