COVID-19: Faith-based organization distributes items to families in Niger State

As part of efforts to cushion the effects of Coronavirus in Niger State, a faith-based organization has distrusted items to some families worth N500,000.

The event which took place at Sure play Social Centre, in Minna, the State Capital, witnessed families, mostly women and Children from some villages within Minna.

The Coordinator of the event, Evangelist Dorothy Nuhu, mentioned that beneficiaries were carefully selected from 50 less privileged families within Minna, and some villages close to the State Capital.

“We carefully selected beneficiaries irrespective of religion or ethnicity, most especially within the suburbs in Minna the state Capital, such as Tayi, Bosso, Chanchaga, korokpa, and also from Local government areas close to the state capital Items distributed includes Clothes, Shoes for Children, food items, like Bags of Rice and noodles,” said Dorothy

According to Dorothy, the Organization, Proclamation Watch Men and Women, also distributed food items sometimes ago, to the disabled people in Minna, so as to cushion the effect of Covid19, that is seriously creating economic challenges globally.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs Dorothy Barde, a Mother of ten, who appreciated the gesture by the faith-based organization, mentioned that they remain grateful to God and the organization.

Mr Peter Egwu, a proprietor of an Orphanage Home in Minna, also appreciated the gesture as 12 Children from his home benefited from the items distributed, aside from food items.

The coordinator of the Proclamation Men and Women Organization, Evangelist Dorothy Nuhu, however, urged Religious bodies, politicians, Corporate and other organizations, to always reach out to the downtrodden in the rural and urban communities, for empowerment and other social responsibilities, for them to be carried along.
