COVID-19: Military apprehends travel ban violators in Kwara State

31 passengers in three buses have been arrested at ErinIle in Kwara State/ Osun state boundary by the Military and handed over to the police.

According to the spokesman of the State Technical committee on COVID-19, Rufai Ajakaye, their interception, was part of the activities of the Offa LGA COVID-19 Committee in collaboration with Igbomina Mobile Healthcare and the Security Agencies to secure the border.

The suspects  are to appear in court for further interrogation and possible convictions if found guilty of violating the travel ban order of the Federal and state governments in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 into the state.
