To complement the efforts of the Lagos State government in preventing the spread of COVID-19 in the state, the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Kosofe Area Council (MSSNKosofe) has donated some items to six public secondary schools in Kosofe Local Government.
The items donated to each school include 120- litre drum with tap, 5 litres of liquid soap and two and half litres of hand sanitiser.
The schools which benefitted from this gesture are Ogudu Junior Grammar School, Ojota Junior Secondary School, Immaculate Heart Comprehensive Junior High School, Maryland, Ogudu Senior Grammar School, Mende Senior Hugh School and Community Senior High School, Wasinmi.
The Amir(President) of the Area Council, AbdulHafeez Animashaun thanked the donors and everyone who contributed to the project.
He stated that the remaining six public secondary schools in Kosofe LG would be covered on dates to be announced later so as to give room for more funds to be realised.
Government cannot do it alone
He commended the Lagos State Government for doing its best in providing the schools with hand washing materials and called on other organisations to complement government’s efforts by extending support to schools as government cannot do it alone.
He enjoined students to continue to abide by all government’s protocols to prevent further spread of the deadly coronavirus.
