COVID-19: Nigeria ready to reopen Aviation industry

Nigeria has begun preparations to adapt to the ‘new normal’ in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic.


In line with International best practice and non-pharmaceutical advisory by the World Health Organisation, WHO, the Nigerian Government is set to reopen it’s airports for international flights after four months of closure.


The Airport authorities, led by the Minister of Aviation, HadiSirika and members of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, witnessed a test run of a flight from the NnamdiAzikiwe International Airport, Abuja Nigeria to the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos Nigeria.


Earlier, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 in Nigeria, at its daily joint Media briefing, gave the Aviation industry 21st of June, to submit a report on its readiness to reopen airports.
