Ebonyi State Government has reiterated it’s commitment to partner with the International Fund for Agricultural Development IFAD, through its Value Chain Development Program VCDP.
The State Commissioner for Agriculture and Natural Resources, Mr Moses Ogodoali made this known during the wrap-up meeting of State assessment on IFAD programs in the State.
Mr Moses said IFAD-VCDP in Ebonyi State has been a catalyst towards achieving Agricultural goals in the State.
” Ebonyi State has recorded tremendous success through IFAD and we must continue to partner with for food security and economic enhancement in the State”. He said.
The State IFAD Coordinator Mr Sunday Ituma said the program has been successful in the State and Nigeria at large.
Mr Ituma said the program has contributed in boosting food security and the economy of the State through its massive production of rice and Cassava.
IFAD has not only provided enough food in Ebonyi State but has also created job to our youths through its Value Chain Development Program”. He said.
He Lauded the State Government for being faithful in payment of it counterpart funds, which has helped IFAD to perform optimally in the State.
