Post: EduStake Conference 2026 to Evaluate Progress on Inclusive Education

Lagos: The Regalo Hope Foundation (RHF), a Pan-Nigeria Non-Profit Organisation, has announced that the EduStake Conference 2026 will focus on evaluating the progress of inclusive education in Nigeria, building on its 2024 review. Miss Abiodun Ooreoluwa, Partnership and Communications Manager of RHF, disclosed this information during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Ooreoluwa stated that the conference discussions will be a follow-up on the 2024 EduStake Conference. She mentioned that the event, scheduled for January 22 at the Lagos Theatre, Igando, will highlight areas still requiring attention across Nigeria’s classrooms and learning environments. The aim is to create a setting for education stakeholders to assess the implementation of inclusive education policies nationwide and explore the next steps for further advancement.

The conference will also mark the graduation of educators who have completed the first cohort of the Teachers’ Leadership Academy (TLA) programme. Ooreoluwa described the TLA as a professional platform supporting growth, collaboration, and reflection. Facilitators empower educators to learn, interact, and improve within evolving classrooms and leadership contexts.

Additionally, the conference will feature the RHF Legends’ Award, which honors an educator with over 25 years of classroom service as a celebration of enduring commitment to education nationally. The RHF Heroes’ Award will also be presented to three TLA Associates with over five years’ experience, recognized for work that demonstrates measurable educational and community impact nationally.

Student participation will include a secondary schools quiz competition on current affairs aimed at promoting national values, stimulating civic awareness, and fostering informed thinking. The competitive activity offers cash rewards for top-performing schools, reinforcing motivation. The event will also feature entertainment such as dance, drama, and motivational talks.

Ooreoluwa disclosed that over 30 secondary public and private schools have registered and confirmed participation for the 2026 edition of the annual conference.
