Post: Emir of Zazzau Pledges Support for Enhanced Hajj Operations


Abuja:The Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Bamalli, has committed the traditional institution’s support to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to enhance the efficiency of Hajj operations for Nigerian pilgrims.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the Head of Information and Publications Division at NAHCON, Shafii Mohammed, stated that the emir gave this assurance during a visit to NAHCON’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Amb. Ismail Yusuf, in Abuja.

The emir praised the commission’s leadership for its continuous efforts to reform Hajj operations and highlighted the significant responsibility of managing the logistics for tens of thousands of pilgrims. He emphasized the need for dedication, transparency, and strategic planning.

Bamalli reiterated that the Zazzau Emirate and other traditional institutions are vital in mobilizing and educating intending pilgrims to ensure a smooth Hajj experience. He stressed the importance of prioritizing the comfort, safety, and well-being of Nigerian pilgrims on t
heir spiritual journey.

The Emir offered prayers, counsel, and support to NAHCON, urging the commission to maintain its focus on structural efficiency, early preparations, and transparent communication. He noted that these measures would help mitigate recurring operational challenges associated with Hajj administration.

In response, the NAHCON chairman expressed gratitude to the Emir of Zazzau for his visit, describing it as a morale booster for the commission’s management and staff. Yusuf briefed the emir on the commission’s new policy frameworks, digital innovations, and strategic partnerships aimed at reducing costs and improving accommodation, feeding, and airlift arrangements for pilgrims.

Yusuf assured the emir that NAHCON would take the insights from their discussion into careful consideration, reaffirming the commission’s commitment to providing a world-class Hajj experience that meets the expectations of both the Nigerian Government and the Muslim Ummah.
