The equities Market had on Tuesday recorded it’s first decline for the week, losing 0.83%.
The Market Capitalisation loss 128 billion Naira when it fell from Monday’s close of 15,304 trillion Naira to close at 15,176 trillion Naira on Tuesday.
While the All Share Index fell 247.8 basis points to close Tuesday’s trading at 29,462.76 basis points from previous close of 29,710.56 basis points attained on Monday.
The market traded 272,840 million units of shares valued at N3,713 trillion in 4,945.00 deals where 15 stocks gained and 16 declined.
LAW UNION AND ROCK INS. PLC led the advancers, appreciating by 0.05k or 9.09 percent, from 0.55k per share on Monday to 0.60k per share on Tuesday.
UNITY BANK PLC was next, moving from 0.65k per share to 0.69k per share, gaining 0.04k or 6.15 percent.
And LAFARGE AFRICA PLC increased from N16.35k per share to N17.35k per share, by N1.00k or 6.12 percent.
Conversely, ARBICO PLC declined from N3.51k per share to N3.16k per share by 0.35k or 9.97 percent.
Followed by ETERNA PLC which declined from N3.60k per share to N3.25k per share by 0.35k or 9.72 percent.
While CHAMPION BREW PLC declined from 0.98k per share to 0.91k per share by 0.07k or 7.14 percent.
Sectoral indices shows a significant loss recorded in the Banking sector which dampened the market performance, after the index declined by 3.58 percent; the Industrial Goods index declined by 0.45 percent.
On the other hand, the Consumer Goods index gained 0.34 percent, Oil and Gas index gained 0.29% and Insurance index gained 0.70%.
