Equities market ends trading with N4b gain

The market capitalisation of equities rose further by N4 billion or 0.34 percent on Tuesday to close trading at N13.25 trillion from N13.21 trillion on Monday.

In the same vein,the all share index grew by 0.34 percent to close at 25,413.95 basis points ,being 86.82 points higher than Monday’s 25,327.13 points.

The number of gainers outweighed losers as 27 stocks appreciated and 9 stocks declined.

Nigerian breweries was top on the gainers list appreciating by N2.00 to close at N39.00 followed by Stanbic IBTC which gained 45kobo to close at N36.00. UBA also gained 30kobo to close at N6.55k per share.

On the other hand,Dangotecement topped the losers table declining by 90 kobo to close at N134.00 and UBN lost 30 kobo to close at N5.00 while PZ lost 10 kobo to close at N4.10k per share.

UAC- properties dominated trading exchanging 947,743 million shares worth N663.8 million followed by Access bank with a turnover of 22,702 million shares worth N144.9 million.

At the close of trading session on Tuesday, investors traded 1,073.83 million shares worth N2.10 billion in 3,221 deals.
