Eze Elected Youth Leaders’ Forum Chairman

Abuja: Comrade Onyebuchi Eze, the newly elected Chairman of the Forum of National Youth Leaders of Political Parties in Nigeria (FNYLPPN), has pledged to provide responsive leadership. He stated that the forum under his watch would act as a watchdog on government policies and would speak out whenever necessary. Eze, who is also the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), made this known in a statement issued to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Eze previously served as Co-Chairman of the forum and emerged victorious over Olajide Wolimoh of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in a closely contested election. The election, held on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Abuja, was supervised by Hon. Chigozie Udogu of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), who acted as the Forum’s Electoral Chairman. The event was also attended by representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) youth wing, led by Dayo Israel.

Eze emphasized that his leadership would not be manipulated as a tool of the ruling party or used as an attack dog against the opposition, maintaining that it would stay focused on defending the interests of Nigerian youths. He secured seven votes, while Wolimoh received four out of the 11 valid ballots cast.

Other elected officers include Muhammad Abdullahi of the Accord Party as Vice Chairman, Amina Yahaya of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) as Legal Adviser, and Ugoh Michael of the Action Peoples Party (APP) as Treasurer.
