FCTA Plans 20-Day Event to Highlight Tinubu’s Education Sector Achievements

Abuja: The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has announced a 20-day event aimed at highlighting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration in the education sector within the territory. This announcement was made by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, during the inauguration of newly constructed engineering infrastructure in the Wuye District, Abuja.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the unveiling of projects executed by Tinubu’s administration will commence after a short break, following the inauguration of completed and new projects across the FCT. Minister Wike emphasized that the initiative seeks to demonstrate that the administration’s focus extends beyond road infrastructure to include significant educational transformations.

Wike has characterized the inauguration of projects across the FCT as unprecedented, attributing this progress to President Tinubu’s dedication to completing previously abandoned projects as part of his Renewed Hope Agenda. The minister challenged critics to identify any past administration that has achieved the current level of transformation under Tinubu’s leadership, asserting that this is leadership committed to changing lives.

The minister highlighted that many of the projects being inaugurated were left incomplete since 2009 due to unpaid contractors. In support of this initiative, FCT Minister of State, Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, remarked that the Wuye engineering infrastructure project exemplifies the administration’s determination to provide infrastructure that uplifts communities and restores hope.

Dr. Mahmoud further emphasized that each milestone achieved is a promise fulfilled, and each project completion marks a new beginning. With ongoing dualization of roads, the completion of long-abandoned sites, and the development of new facilities in satellite towns, she affirmed that the message from Wike is clear: the FCT is progressing under purposeful and visionary leadership.
