FG enjoins Attorneys-General to adopt National anti-corruption strategy

The Federal government has enjoined State Attorneys-General in the country to adopt and domesticate the National Anti-Corruption Strategy Action Plan document to fight the menace of corruption.

Attorney General of the Federation, AGF, Mr. AbubakarMalami, gave the directive at the presentation of the document during the Annual Forum of the Anti-Corruption Strategy in Abuja, Nigeria.

The National Anti-Corruption strategy Action Plan is expected to assist in strengthening the legal and Institutional Framework designed to prevent and combat corruption in all ramifications, mainstreaming Anti-corruption Principles into governance and service delivery.

The AGF, represented by the Solicitor General of the Federation, DayoApata noted that the documents which serves as a guideline is expected to assist stakeholders develop their strategy with specification and how best to actualise the full implementation of the National Anti-Corruption strategy.

According to him: A framework for the monitoring and evaluation work tool and reporting template was developed and adopted by stakeholders.
