Pokhara: A meeting of the Gandaki Province Assembly has been scheduled at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Agriculture, Land Management and Cooperatives at 1:00 pm today. Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey is expected to brief the Province Assembly regarding the losses incurred during the Gen Z protest that took place from September 8-9, as shared by Province Assembly Secretary, Govinda Poudel.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the meeting’s agenda includes possible clause-wise discussions on the Marijuana Cultivation Bill and the Mines and Minerals Bill, with the aim to pass these legislative measures. Previously, a meeting had been called at the same location for October 8, but it was postponed at the last minute due to a lack of adequate preparation. The last assembly meeting was held on September 1.
The Gandaki Province Assembly is currently conducting its activities from temporary structures until the completion of its new building. The construction of the new assembly building has recently commenced, as reported by the PA Secretariat.
