Birnin kebbi: Gov. Nasir Idris of Kebbi has approved the N43.29 billion revised 2025 appropriation bill passed by the State House of Assembly. The signing took place at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, with the presence of the Speaker, Alhaji Usman Muhammad-Zuru, and other legislators.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Gov. Idris expressed gratitude to the lawmakers for their collaborative efforts with the executive branch, highlighting the positive impact of their cooperation on the residents of Kebbi State. He emphasized the smooth relationship between the legislative and executive arms since the start of his administration, noting that all legislative proposals have been thoroughly examined and approved without conflict.
During the event, Muhammad-Zuru, the Speaker of the House, assured continued legislative support to the executive in fostering state development. He mentioned that the revised bill was passed following comprehensive discussions to ensure it aligns with current fiscal conditions and development goals. The revised 2025 appropriation bill was submitted to the governor for approval per the amended 1999 Constitution.
