Awka-Gov. Willie Obiano has urged party faithful of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) to consolidate their structures and double their capacity.
The governor made the remark when the party had set aside N1millon for award to any ward to record the highest number of loyalists.
Gov. Obiano announced this while addressing Executive Committee members of APGA from the 326 wards of the 21 Local Government Areas at Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka.
He noted that APGA had remained the fastest growing party with clear vision and mission, geared toward transforming the society to greater heights.
He urged them to remain focused and not be distracted by wailers and oppositions, who never had the interest of the state at heart.
Member representing Anambra East and West at the National Assembly, Mr Chinedu Obidigwe said APGA had re-written the political narrative of the state.
Obidigwe noted that before now, kidnapping and other criminalities were the stock in trade in the state, but the present administration had banished all that, and making it the safest state in the country.
He called for veritable solutions to further consolidate on the achievements of Gov. Obiano administration.
Speaker, Anambra State House of Anambra, Mr Uche Okafor said, apart from the primary objective of the legislature, which is oversight functions, the House has been promoting policies alongside the executive, for a better Anambra.
Mr Okafor enjoined the youths to refrain from crime and criminality and rather channel their energies toward the re-building of the society.
Spiritual Leader of APGA, Rommy Ezeonwuka and the State Chairman of APGA, Mr Norbert Obi noted that APGA had been the only party without internal crisis.
