Hundreds of supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari in Kano State North Western Nigeria took the streets on Wednesday to express their loyalty.
President Buhari has been on vacation in London since January 19th and attending to some medical needs.
It was observed that hundreds of youths converged on Zoo Road in the Kano metropolis and commenced trekking at about 10:30am through Zaria Road, Tauruni, Government house and terminated at the Emir’ Palace where a special prayer was held in support of the President and for his speedy recovery.
The supporters were also seen carrying placards with some inscriptions such as “say no to corruption”, “war against impunity”, “zero tolerance to corruption”, among others.
One of the conveners, Ibrahim Garba said the rally was organised in support of the President’s doggedness in fighting corruption sitting previous achievements and the recent recovery of billions of naira and dollars from the home of a former GMD of NNPC
“We want him to be focused and rescue Nigeria from the hands of looters,” he stated
Another one Abdulahi Ahmed, equally lauded the president in his effort for Nigerians to begin to eat what they produce to conserve the much need foreign exchange that is spent on importing food.
He, however called on the president to” engage experts to advise him on how to move the economy forward.”
