Post: IBB Golf Club Prepared to Host 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy


Abuja:The IBB International Golf and Country Club is set to host the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT), as confirmed by the club’s Board of Trustees (BOT) chairperson, Monica Dongban-Mensem.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Monica Dongban-Mensem made this announcement in Abuja, dispelling any concerns regarding the course and facility’s readiness for the event scheduled from November 2 to November 7, 2026.

The club has been closed for over a year to undergo extensive rehabilitation, but Dongban-Mensem assured that the course is now in good condition. She expressed confidence that the tournament would proceed as planned, with all necessary arrangements in place for participating countries to enjoy the championship.

Lami Ahmed, President of the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria (LGAN), also praised the progress at the facility. She expressed gratitude to the BOT and club management for their support in preparing for the continental championship, highlighting the club’s capability to host such a si
gnificant event.

Ahmed further commented that the championship would offer participants an experience beyond mere competition, and she expressed her belief that Nigeria would take pride in hosting the event.
