Abuja: Factional National Chairman of Accord, Prof. Chris Imumolen, has raised concerns over his personal safety and that of his family, urging law enforcement agencies to intervene. Imumolen, in a statement, highlighted alarming developments that have caused him serious concern for his safety and that of his family members.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, Imumolen appealed to security agencies and Gov. Ademola Adeleke of Osun to act swiftly to prevent potential political violence or intimidation. He urged Adeleke to ensure that his associates, supporters, and political followers abstain from any acts of intimidation, harassment, threat, or violence.
Imumolen emphasized that his political activities in Osun are motivated by his commitment to advancing the party and promoting democratic values, rather than engaging in personal conflict with the governor or any political faction. He clarified that his appeal was made in a spirit of peace and responsibility, with no intention of confrontation.

g his fundamental right to participate in political activities, Imumolen stated that he has not authorized any form of violence or confrontation on his behalf. He advocated for resolving political disagreements through dialogue, democratic processes, and adherence to the rule of law.
Imumolen also clarified that his expression of security concerns was a precautionary measure, not an accusation. He urged law enforcement agencies to conduct an immediate, transparent, and independent investigation in the event of any harm or security breach involving him, his family, or associates.
Finally, Imumolen called on all political stakeholders in Osun to prioritize dialogue, restraint, and the rule of law over political intimidation. He stressed that political disagreements should never justify intimidation, violence, or endangerment of human life.
