Kaduna Media Corporation to meet world standards upon completion

About 1.499 billion naira is being invested to build and equip the Kaduna State Media Corporation, KSMC with modern state of the art facilities to match International standards.

The Managing Director, KSMC, Ibrahim Ahmed disclosed when a team of journalists led by the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) visited the project site as part of tour of ongoing projects undertaken by Governor Nasiru El-Rufai’s led administration in the State.

According to him, This is a multi billion naira building, what you are seeing is not in existence anywhere in Nigeria and on completion, you should expect a World class KSMC.

Ahmed explained that, the two-storey new complex when completed would be staffed by young professionals that will ensure the corporation moves at par with other top broadcast outfits across the world.

We hope to transmit digital broadcast signals at 100% that can be accessed from any part of the World, he assured.

Speaking further, the MD said the corporation would be equipped with gadgets worth N1.6bn, adding that, they are optimistic the project would be completed before the end of 2018, but with a grace period extended to March 2019.

The Media Professional noted that, the corporation has an existing building which has lasted 50 years, and are assured that the new complex would last longer because of its quality and standards.

The Journalist on tour were taken to the old complex which is also undergoing renovation at about 80% completion with new computers and other gadgets installed.
