Post: Karmajiji Disabilities Community Pledges Support for Tinubu’s Re-Election

Abuja:The Karmajiji Disabilities Community in the Federal Capital Territory has announced that over 500 eligible voters from their community are prepared to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, Mrs. Rahina Haruna, the Women Leader of the community, expressed this commitment in an interview. Haruna highlighted the growing population of physically and virtually challenged residents and emphasized their determination to support the president despite various challenges.

The residents face significant hardships, such as flooded ditches, open gutters, and a lack of motorable roads connecting their community to the main expressway. Haruna appealed to the FCT Administration to construct an access road to improve mobility. The community also grapples with economic pressures, making it difficult for many families to afford basic needs or education.

In terms of healthcare, the community’s primary health center is ill-equipped for major emergencies. Haruna noted that residents often face discrimination at general health facilities in Abuja’s city center and urged the First Lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, to facilitate the expansion of their clinic.

Haruna also requested the completion of the Senior Secondary School project in the area, which has stalled. The completion of this project, she hopes, would provide both educational opportunities and functional access roads for the community’s children.
