Thirty five Magistrates and one Area Court Judge were on Monday sworn-in by the Kwara State Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Durosinloun Kawu at the State High Court Complex, Ilorin.
The Magistrates and the Area Court Judge were appointed on the thirteenth of September, last year after approval by the State Judicial Service Commission.
The new appointees have attended a mandatory three month Court attachment.
Performing the Swearing-in, Justice Kawu charged them to be above board in the discharge of their duties and abide by the oath which they swore.
The Chief Judge advised them to be scrupulous in the discharge of their judgment.
Justice Kawu enjoined them to shun all ethnic, religious or filial considerations in the discharge of their Judicial duties
He also charged them to steer clear from the political arena so that the dust of the fray would not becloud their perception of the facts and issues placed before then for adjudication.
The ceremony was attended Judiciary Staff and families of the Magistrates.
