Kwara PDP flags off campaigns

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State has flagged off its campaign at Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government area ahead of the sixteenth of February and the second of March general elections.

The flag off which took place at the Pilot Primary School Open Playing Ground, Bode Saadu attracted PDP leaders, party supporters and faithful from the sixteen local government areas.

Addressing the mammoth crowd, the Senate President and National Leader of PDP, Doctor Bukola Saraki said the election is about the history and tradition of Kwara State and urged Kwarans not to submit the state to the control of outsiders.

He said the Peoples Democratic Party would offer a better alternative to the ruling All Progressives Congress, which he said, had failed to address hunger, unemployment and insecurity in the country.

Doctor Saraki called on the people of the state to vote massively for the PDP at all levels to ensure better security and improved economy and create job opportunities.

Also speaking, the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed explained that sixteen years of PDP was beneficial to the people while the APC had brought untold hardship to the people.

Governor Ahmed said the last three and half years of APC had increased the level of hunger, unemployment and poverty and urged Kwarans to vote for the PDP at all levels.

In his address, the gubernatorial candidate of APC, Barrister Rasak Atunwa promised that his government would create job opportunities for the teeming populace and improve socio-economic life of the people if elected.

Barrister Atunwa appealed to electorate to support the Peoples Democratic Party in improving human capital development, infrastructure and welfare of the teeming populace, particularly the youth.

The Director General of Mandate Twenty nineteen Campaign, Professor Sulyman Abubakar had earlier explained that the forthcoming election is between nocturnal politicians and politicians who always stood by the people all year round.

Professor Abubakar urged Kwarans not to be carried away with the deceit and propaganda of the APC, saying that no solace and progress in the All Progressives Congress.
