The Kwara United Football Club has commiserated with the family of the late Saka Abdulazeez, a player of Kwara United FC who slumped and died on Friday.
Saka Azeez has been buried on Friday according to Islamic rites at the Muslim Cemetery in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
Family members, top government officials as well as Kwara United officials led by the state Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, Bolakale Ayo, were present at the burial.
In his reaction, the Kwara United President, Oladimeji Ladi Thompson said the entire soccer fans are no doubt in a mourning mood over Saka Abdulazeez’s death.
According to him, the player is a young and promising guy with potentials to reach the pinnacle of his professional career.
Late Saka Abdulazeez is a left full back who joined the service of Kwara United FC from Zamfara FC at the beginning of the current 2017/2018 Nigeria National League (NNL) Season.
A native of Share in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, late Saka Abdulazeez was the son of former African Table Tennis Champion, Kasali Lasisi who died at the age of twenty four.
Meanwhile, Saka’s family has issued a statement that a three-day would hold on Sunday for late Saka.
