The Lagos State Government south west Nigeria has inaugurated the 'Lagos to the World' campaign, a move towards showcasing the State investment activities to the rest of the world.
The State says it desires to make the state the most desirable investment destination in the world and would continue to identify investment opportunities that abound in the state to arouse the interest of investors.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment, Professor Ademola Abass, was speaking at the campaign launch in Lagos, Nigeria.
At the event where a 'Deal book on Investment' was launched, Professor Abass said the establishment of the Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment in 2015 by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, has broken a lot of bureaucratic bottlenecks as a one-stop shop, assuring business with ease.
Lagos to the World' is an initiative of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode to show the world all that the state has been doing in recent times, to promote investment through infrastructural development among many others.
These are what attract investors, but the story is not being told. This initiative is to tell the world how Lagos Global has been working hard to project investment opportunities in Lagos. It is high time we pushed Lagos narrative overseas. Today is all about marketing Lagos and communicating the investment opportunities to both domestic and foreign investors, Abass said.
Also, Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Cooperatives, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, explained that Lagos has the market and was ready to showcase its potentials to the world, and so, the need to push this unique narrative.
Oladunjoye further stressed that number of incentives had been put in place by the government to encourage investment and investors to thrive in the flourishing economy of the State.
