Nasarawa Governor Receives Education Ambassador Award at Platinum Jubilee Celebration


Lagos: Governor Sule was represented at the award ceremony by the Commissioner for Education, John Mamman, during the Independent Newspaper’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration marking 70 years of Free Basic Education in Nigeria, held in Lagos.



According to Voice of Nigeria, Mamman, who received the award on behalf of the Governor, expressed appreciation to the newspaper’s leadership for recognising Governor Sule’s leadership and commitment to human capital development. He reaffirmed the administration’s resolve to continue prioritising education as a tool for empowerment and progress.



The event, chaired by elder statesman Chief Bisi Akande, attracted Nigerians, including Professor Uche Azikiwe, wife of the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe; former ministers Barth Nnaji, Otunba Runsewe, and Lai Mohammed. Others present were the grandchildren of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello; veteran broadcaster Danladi Bako; and UBEC Executive Secretary, Aisha Garba.
